Timewarp offsets its entire CO₂ footprint in 2023/24

126.2 tons of CO₂e – this is the amount our business activities generated between July 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024. This figure includes all emissions from our commutes, IT infrastructure, cloud services, and our daily office routine.

And best of all, we completely neutralized all of these emissions through a high-quality climate protection project.

The development of greenhouse gas emissions and key figures

The calculated greenhouse gas emissions of TIMEWARP IT Consulting GmbH for the reporting period from July 2023 to June 2024 amount to 126.2 tons of CO2e, approximately 10% lower than the previous period. This is primarily due to approximately 2% lower electricity consumption at the sites, lower emissions from the vehicle fleet (-57%), and lower Scope 3 emissions from the purchase of goods for general use and production. However, an increase in emissions compared to the previous period can be seen for Scope 3 – Category 2, fixed assets (+7.4%) and Scope 3 – Category 6, business travel (increase from 0.5 to 11.2 tons of CO2e). The calculations were performed and evaluated by EEC Energy and Environmental Consulting GmbH.

Likano Ibanda Makera Forest Project (Gold Standard)

To offset our CO₂ emissions, we support the Likano Ibanda Makera Forest Project, which is certified according to the strict Gold Standard. This project provides efficient cooking stoves for households in rural areas – with enormous social, health, and environmental benefits.

Women and girls in particular benefit from the improved living conditions, as the new cooking stoves significantly reduce smoke pollution, firewood consumption, and time expenditure.

Contribution to the 3rd, 7th and 13th UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Through our support, we directly contribute to the achievement of the following SDGs:

SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being
SDG 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy
SDG 13 – Climate Action

Our attitude: Taking responsibility

For us at Timewarp, it's clear: climate protection begins within our own company.
Therefore, our goal is to avoid and reduce emissions where possible – and offset them where necessary.
By fully offsetting our carbon footprint, we are setting an example for responsible, climate-conscious corporate management – and for a future worth living.
